When I try to re-enable Windows Audio service, I get this error:
Windows could not start the Windows Audio service on Local Computer.
Error 0x800706: The endpoint is a duplicate.
Anybody know how to fix this error?

I take it you are trying to enable it in services.msc

I have AVG, but even when I disabled it the result was the same

Look in the AVG Virus Vault or Quarantine. AVG has quarantined it. Restoring it then rebooting
should fix the issue.
